Chinese and Thai massage, cupping and gua sha

Traditional wellness treatments, done by hand, in a calm setting. Every massage starts with a few questions: where your tension is, what pressure you prefer, and whether any precautions are needed.

Tui Na massage

The traditional Chinese massage, done fully clothed. The practitioner combines pressure, kneading, rolling and friction, following the meridians of the back, shoulders, arms and legs.

  • Firm or gentle pressure, as you prefer
  • Ideal after a long day sitting or standing
  • 30, 60 or 90 minutes

Traditional Thai massage

On a futon on the floor, in loose clothing. Palm and thumb pressure along the lines of the body, then gentle stretches of the legs, back and shoulders, in rhythm with your breathing.

  • An invigorating, enveloping massage
  • No oil, no undressing
  • 60 or 90 minutes · see how it unfolds
🫙

Cupping · 拔罐

Glass cups, warmed or with a pump, are placed on the back and create a gentle suction. They can be left in place or glided over oiled skin.

  • “Dry” cupping only, with no incision whatsoever
  • May leave round marks for a few days
  • On its own (30 min) or after a Tui Na

Gua sha · 刮痧

A jade or horn stone with smooth edges glides in long, regular strokes over the oiled skin of the back and neck. A gentle version is available for the face.

  • A slow, soothing technique
  • May leave the skin pink for a while
  • Back 30 min or face 30 min

Points and meridians · 穴位按摩

Acupressure: precise thumb pressure, held for a few seconds, on the traditional points of Chinese medicine, from head to toe.

  • With the fingers only, never with needles
  • Can be done seated, on a massage chair
  • 30 or 60 minutes
🦶

Foot massage · 足疗

A warm herbal foot bath, then a massage of the feet and calves, with pressure on the zones of the arch. The favourite treatment of Parisian walkers.

  • Seated in an armchair, simple and relaxed
  • 45 minutes

Wellness treatments, not medical care. Our massages do not replace medical advice or treatment. We do not practise acupuncture or cupping with incision (hijama), which are reserved for doctors in France. See the precautions.
